Mitchell S. Kahn, AIF® CRPC® is a Senior Vice President of Hunter Financial Advisors Inc., a firm focused on providing a broad range of financial advisory services. With nearly twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry, Mitch is focused on providing services and outcomes that fit with each client’s goals and risk tolerances. To this end, he works with his clients to achieve their individual financial goals by providing comprehensive financial planning tools and then monitoring and reviewing their investments to assure these goals are reached.
Mitch received his Bachelor of Science from New Hampshire College, his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from The Center for Fiduciary Studies® (Fi360) and his Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. The AIF® designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. To receive this designation Mitch underwent rigorous training and testing and has agreed to abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards set forth by Fi360. As a CRPC®, Mitch completed a stringent course of study to gain in-depth knowledge of individuals' needs both before and after retirement, allowing him to create a more comprehensive retirement plan. He is a Series 7 and 63 Registered Representative as well as a licensed agent for life, health, disability and long-term care insurance.
Mitch is active in the community and has been president of his local Rotary Club on three separate occasions. He has also received a Distinguished Service Award from the County of Rockland in May of 2008 and has received two certificates of merit for Community Service from the town of Clarkstown, NY.
When not working or volunteering, Mitch enjoys fitness, skiing, golf and playing guitar. He has a son and resides in Clarkstown with his partner and her son.
